Returning To Pole After Lockdown

Here is our 4 tips to help you get back started poling positively.

1. DON’T PANIC

Don’t worry, we are all in this together. You might think you’ve lost your stamina and strength but you haven’t. It might feel hard again at first, but you will get it back much quicker this time round just be patient and enjoy it and the process of all those little wins again!

2. DON’T RUSH

It’s not a race, you might want to get straight back to those hard moves, but you're in no rush. You may have been off the pole for the majority of last 12 months, so be kind to your body and ease yourself back in, your body will thank you for it.

3. DO WHAT YOU LOVE

Get back to the classes you LOVE, you might feel like you’ve lost your mojo or you're nervous or scared to return to the studio, but please don’t be. There is no pressure, in fact the only pressure you face is coming from you! Once you’ve had a little word with yourself and taken that first 'iddy biddy' step and attended your first class back, you will remember how fun it is and why you fell in love Pole so much and soon be flying again!

4. HIT THE RESET BUTTON

Give yourself the chance to start again essentially and learn the basics again this will help to re-train you and remove and of those pesky habits we all have. Also promise yourself to attempt BOTH sides, Yes that's right! We all have a 'good' side and a 'bad' side, but now you are at a point where you can start to train both at the same time and after a little while that 'bad' side wont be 'bad' anymore, plus this will help with injury prevention and helping even out your body's strength and mobility which future you will be glad you did it.
